Friendship

Friendship is a core value at Ullesthorpe. True friendship allows our characters to shine, and gives us a sense of companionship and worth throughout the ups and downs of life. In our community of friendship, we care for each other and share in the joy and hardship that may come.

Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."

Children learn that God is our friend, and that he accepts us are we are. Being accepted by our friends, and learning to be a good friend in return is essential to our sense of self and wellbeing. We share Bible stories about Jesus, and learn how he was a true friend- showing service to others, being open and honest and honoring the preciousness of every person.

Maxwell says: "I think Friendship is very important. For example, when someone feels down you can boost their mood up! Maybe you could invite them to play a game with others?"
