I started in education in 2015 as a volunteer at Ullesthorpe Primary School in years 2 and 3 whilst completing my qualification in Learning Support Assistant.
I was fortunate to be asked to stay on as an LSA and have since worked in all years in the school, I’m not sure which is my favourite year group to work with it’s great to help the new starters in EYFS but also seeing the children grow and gain confidence throughout the school and then working with year 6’s building up to their new adventure when they leave us. I am also a midday supervisor so get chance to catch up with the children and hear about what they’ve been getting up to.
It is great to be a part of a small but close nit team at Ullesthorpe. In my spare time I love to be outside in the garden, we have a menagerie of animals too from hens to guinea pig to cows! So that takes up lots of free time!!
