I have been teaching since 2006 after studying for a PGCE in Aberystwyth in Wales. I have a degree in computer programming and French. Before I started my first IT project, I got asked to run a summer camp for French children in Ireland. I fell into teaching by accident after thoroughly enjoying my days spent working with the children - none of my subsequent IT roles compared. So I decided to save, move countries and change my career path! I also met my husband on my course. Isn't it funny how life turns out?
I am new to Ullesthorpe this year, taking over the SENCo role in May 2020; however, I also work as SENCo and teach Year 5/6 one day a week in All Saints in Sapcote. I have taught every year group except for EYFS over the years. I couldn't pick a favourite as each year and each class requires different strengths and I am at my happiest when I'm learning new skills.
Outside of school, you'll find me walking with my family and two dogs, or jogging (slowly) listening to my latest audiobook, reading, cycling, baking and beside the sea at every feasible opportunity!
