Grammar and Spelling

Spelling is a big focus for us all the way through primary school and we teach key sounds and rules from EYFS right through to Y6. In this section are the Common Exception Words from the National Curriculum that children work on in their year group.

Grammar is also interwoven with our English work and the table of progression shows parents and carers the aspects of grammar taught within each year.
