Year 6 Warning Zone
Our year 6 children all spend a fantastic day at Warning Zone, which is a life skills centre in Leicester. We spend the morning learning about how to keep ourselves safe online by participating in a range of school fete style games. Particular favourites include, ‘Dare to Spin the World Wide Wheel?’, and ‘Grooming Guess Who’.
The children have their eyes opened to the risks of the internet, and come away better equipped with the skills needed to keep themselves safe, whilst continuing to enjoy appropriate websites, apps and games.
In the afternoon, the children learn about some of the dangers that they might come across as they get older. They are taught how to assess risks and avoid dangers - whilst thoroughly enjoying themselves at the same time!
