From an early age, I knew that I wanted to follow in my Mum’s footsteps and work in a school. I stayed on at school and went to Sixth Form to study Advanced VCE (Double Award) Health and Social Care. After completing the 2-year course, I went to North Warwickshire and Hinckley College to study for my Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years.
Since qualifying, I have worked in several Early Years establishments including Holliers Walk Primary School (now Hinckley Parks Primary School) in Hinckley, Pippins Nursery School at The Dixie Grammar Junior School in Wellsborough and St Margaret’s Church of England Primary School in Stoke Golding. The positions I have held include Learning Support Assistant, Nursery Nurse and Cover Supervisor. In April 2020, I was very fortunate to start my position as a Cover Supervisor at Ullesthorpe Church of England Primary School. I am very excited to cover different classes when the teachers have PPA / NQT time and meet all of the wonderful children at Ullesthorpe!
I am very close to my family, in particular my Mum, Dad and my twin brother Matthew. My family has always been involved with our local theatre and so for a couple of years now, I have volunteered my services and helped backstage for a number of different shows. Matthew started off at our local theatre, performing for different societies and he has worked incredibly hard and you can now find him in some West End shows in London. I am very proud of him and all that he has achieved. When I am not at work or at the theatre, I also enjoy walking and meeting friends.
