Beaumanor Hall Residential Visit November 2019

We had an amazing time at Beaumanor. It was very muddy so we did get a little bit dirty but luckily it stayed dry.

The canoeing was fantastic and no-one fell in though we did splash the children and adults in the other set of canoes (sorry no photos as we had to keep everything safe in the "dry tub"). We also loved playing hide and seek, in the cellars, in the dark - all the adults joined in too.

There are lots of photos of us making the land buggies, racing them and then dismantling them afterwards. We worked really well in teams, helping each other to build the buggy and then race it.

One of our favourite things was the food - it was yummy. Sorry there are no photos because we ate it all - including our two puddings on Tuesday night and our cereal and full English breakfast on Wednesday!!

We were pleased that we had time before we went home to play in the adventure playground. On the way home we were all much quieter on the bus than when we had set off on Tuesday (according to Mrs McMurran and MsFriswell)

September 2019 Cubism Portraits (based on Pablo Picasso's work)

29th August 2019

Year 3 and 4 enjoyed their first day back at school. We had an art - based day focusing on self portraits which we will share when they are finished. We also had our first PE session with Coach Unlimited - working on our basketball skills. The children showed great perseverance practising some tricky ball skills. (They were all much more successful at mastering the skills than Mrs McMurran!)
