Ullesthorpe Church of England Primary School

Mrs Bostock - Year 3/4 teacher

I have been teaching for 11 years, and have worked in large urban schools in Birmingham, Bristol and Leicester before moving to Ullesthorpe CE Primary School this year; I have been taken aback by the feel of community and family in school and feel very privileged to be a part of it. In my career I have been fortunate enough to work with children from Reception up to Year 6. I really enjoyed my KS1 experience and think it has taught me a lot about the wonderful directions learning can take when you follow the interests of the learners!

I have a keen interest in Science and PE and love to make learning as practical and engaging as possible – you can often find my lessons taking place outside (when the weather is kind enough).  Promoting good mental health is something that is especially important to me. I try to help all learners find ways to better understand their thoughts, feelings and actions so that they can enjoy positive choices and flourish.

The most important thing to me is my family. My husband and I have two wonderful, sassy daughters who keep us busy; a feisty cat called Lilly and a barmy Bedlington Terrier called Albert. We love spending time together exploring outdoors and then coming home to relax with a movie (usually a Disney classic). When I can get some down time I am either found with my head in a book or enjoying a high tempo spin class.
