Year 6 Warning Zone
Our year 6 children spent a fantastic day at Warning Zone, which is a life skills centre in Leicester. We spent the morning learning about how to keep ourselves safe online by participating in a range of school fete style games. Particular favourites included, ‘Dare to Spin the World Wide Wheel?’, and ‘Grooming Guess Who’.
The children had their eyes opened to the risks of the internet, and have come away equipped with the skills needed to keep themselves safe, whilst continuing to enjoy the sites, apps and games they enjoy.
In the afternoon, the children learnt about some of the dangers that they might come across as they get older. They were taught how to assess risks and avoid dangers - whilst thoroughly enjoying themselves at the same time!
