Respect
Respect involves appreciating and understanding the feelings of others, showing empathy and valuing everyone and everything. We are all God’s people and we all matter- no matter what our differences may be.
Matthew 7:12 says “Treat others as you would want them to treat you.”
It is important to show the same respect to others that we would wish to be shown to us. Respect is about being honest and trustworthy. It is about looking after belongings, equipment, the school and our environment.
We can show respect at school by being on time, being polite, being tolerant of others and taking pride in our work. We all shine together if we take care of our school, it's grounds, its contents and the people within in.
Willow says an example of this is: 'In our school we have a system called STAR listening: Sit up straight; Track the speaker; Attempt an answer; Respectful listening'
